Grant Writer
The Grant Writer is responsible for:
- Research existing and possible new grant opportunities for TRD
- Understanding TRD goals and objectives to match with potential grantor
- Keep calendar due dates and list of requirements for grants and follow up with reports/info
- Keep in contact with board monthly or bi-monthly with reports/info/status of grant applications
Adoption Coordinator
The role of Adoption Coordinator works toward the adoption of TRD dogs.
- Screens incoming adoption applications and speaks with potential adopters via email/phone
- Coordinates and is available for meet ups with potential adopters and dogs
- Finalizes adoption paperwork with families
- Explains organization’s policies and procedures to potential adopters and public
*This role requires excellent communication skills and organizational/management skills*
Profile Writer
A Profile Writer is responsible for:
- Write dog bios for website and weekly TV showings
- Strong, creative writing skills required
Blog Writer
A Blog Writer is responsible for:
- Strong writers to research and write on various topics regarding dogs and rescue
- Occasionally asked to write for social media or other arenas for TRD
- Strong writing skills and desire to offer ideas/concepts to blog topics
Community Outreach Lead/Donations Coordinator
The Community Outreach Lead is responsible for:
- Establishing relationships with local vendors, including businesses at which we host events or donation bins
- Coordinating collection of donations from businesses and private donors
- Coordinating public appearances, including dog rescue television spots (ie, with CW)
Events Coordinator
The Events Coordinator is responsible for:
- Identifying opportunities for events, including adoption events, fundraising events, and community outreach
- Bringing event ideas and concepts to the Board for vetting
- Maintaining a calendar of events
- Spearheading event coordination, including funding, staffing, donations for raffles, etc.
- Working with Volunteer Coordinator to staff events
- Working with Marketing Lead and Social Media Liaison to promote events
- Working with Treasurer to budget for events, as needed
